Who is responsible

What we process

We process only what you give us yourself, plus a small amount of technical data needed to protect the contact form from abuse.

If you use the contact form:

• your name
• your email address
• your phone number, if you provide one
• what kind of animal it concerns
• the content of your message
• the language you filled the form in

We additionally store, per submission:

• a hashed representation of your IP address, not the address itself
• your browser type (user agent)

Your IP address is turned into an irreversible code using a secret key. We use that code only to count how many messages arrive from the same address, so we can stop spam. It cannot tell us who you are or where you are.

Why we process it

• To answer your enquiry and, where appropriate, arrange an appointment. Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To protect the form against spam and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a usable contact channel (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we do not sell it.

How long we keep it

• Contact enquiries: no longer than 24 months after we receive them.
• Messages marked as spam: 30 days.

If your enquiry leads to treatment, some data may have to be kept longer under a statutory retention obligation, for example for our accounts.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf. We have a data processing agreement with each of them.

• Supabase: database and storage, hosted in the European Union
• Resend: delivery of the email notification of your enquiry
• Cloudflare: hosting and delivery of the website

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens it is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

Beyond this we share nothing, unless we are legally required to.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is no analytics software, no tracking pixel and no advertising network. Fonts are served from our own server rather than fetched from a third party.

That is why you will not find a cookie banner here: there is nothing to consent to.

The password-protected admin area, which only the practice can reach, does keep a login session in the browser. That storage is technically necessary to stay signed in.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access your data
• have your data corrected
• have your data erased
• restrict the processing
• object to the processing
• receive your data in a portable format

Write to info@performanceplus.nl. We respond within one month. To avoid handing data to the wrong person, we may ask you to confirm your identity.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

Children

This website is aimed at owners of horses and dogs, not at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

All connections to this website are encrypted. Enquiries are stored in a database reachable only by the practice, with access rules enforced at the database level.

Changes

We may update this statement. The date at the foot of this page shows when we last did.
